Boss Profiles Limited
Boss Profiles Limited has set up a plant as a joint venture with SACMI Italy, the World's ceramic major with their state-of-the-art-technology. The plant is the first of its kind in India.
The plant is located at Karaikal on the South Coast, in the Union Territory of Pondicherry, India. The Old French Colony, Karaikal, enclaves the State of Tamil Nadu with temperatures ranging between
25oC to 41oC (sea climate).
Nature has bestowed the surroundings of Karaikal with huge oil and natural gas resources. Close to the availability of good quality raw materials, the location has the necessary infrastructure.
The technology adopted is a fine blend of traditional body preparation by wet milling and sophisticated production line for flat system extrusion of various shapes, profiles and special pieces besides flat tiles.
The diversity of products that can be manufactured by extrusion on one line is manifold and gives the process 'crisis-security', compared to the usual methods in the tile sector which often led to highly modern (but inflexible) production lines quickly becoming obsolete and uneconomical.
The conversion time for changing shapes is short, giving very rapid adaptation to market fluctuations.
Architects, both in West Europe and the USA are continually demanding more and more tiles. It is not sufficient that the tiles meet the respective standards qualitatively. Design freedom of the architects can now be expected with special pieces such as two or three dimensional convexed tiles. The fulfillment of such requirements is a decisive factor when dealing with large projects. Under this aspect, a tile has to be shaped in plastic state, which is possible only with this technology.
This plant will address the large untapped Indian markets of heavy-duty industrial floors, high traffic public places, and exterior cladding tiles
along with a wide range of shapes and profiles for specific application areas offering total solutions to the architectural designs.
The company has already started commercial production and the product has got large market acceptance in India and Middle East Countries. The company has created history by obtaining the DSIR National Award from Govt. of India for R&D Efforts in Industry (2003) in the Processing Industries Sector.

Pig Iron Project with Castings
Mejhia Steel & Power - a unit of Dheeraj Promoters Pvt. Ltd.One of the latest interventions of the group relates to the Pig Iron Project, which has been launched in the mineral reach District of Bankura in the state of West Bengal. The land has been sourced from the private parties and necessary infrastructure is being installed. The estimated capacity of the plant is 200 TPD Pig Iron with 200 M/T of Grey Iron /Ductile Iron castings, which will be exported to USA and Europe.
Facilities for the manufacture of Ductile iron casting with a plant capacity of 260tons are also being planed as a forward integration the project to the pig iron plant.
Fly Ash
To fight the cause of pollution the group has ventured towards export of fly ash and it has focused on Ash Management including value addition by way of Bricks, Flooring, Pavers and Aggregates etc. One jetty has already been built over exclusively by the group for its export to Bangladesh at Sankrail. The production of Bricks has already commenced and in course of next three months the export would also commence. The Group has also started supplying to the Cement Plants for blending it with Cement. As per the Gazzette Notification issued by the Govt. of India all construction activity must consume 25% to 50% of Bricks made of Fly Ash and even substitute sand by way of use of Ash. The awareness to fight pollution is still to grow and as such the step by the construction industry is still backing.
Tea
We are engaged in the Tea sector with stress on its management and marketing with special care for sustainable garden management and recent attention on organic tea production, which has higher value and greater market demand.
